Oh yes, corruption is indeed the most challenging problem of
Nepal in present scenario. Movie Sambodhan tells the fact that corruption lies somewhere
within each one of us and in many daily doings, so the change must start from
ourselves to eradicate corruption from its roots.
Plot:
Ramji Gole (Dayahang Rai), senior inspector is leading an
investigative case of serial murder, which has taken place in a very similar
manner – coins scattered over dead body.
Parool Shakya (Namrata Shrestha) is a TV journalist covering the same case with very much curiosity and quest to find the serial killer. As no progress is seen in the investigation, DIG (B.S. Rana) appoints another young inspector (Binaya Bhatta) in the case but the conflict between perception arises constantly between Gole and Binay. In the other hand, it is shown that love is blooming between Binay and Parool. Later, criminal himself surrenders to the police. Afterwards, flashback shows how he got into the murder and follows into the final showdown.

What I felt:
Director Hemraj BC has tried something new by choosing a very
sensitive topic after teenage dramas Hostel and Jerryy. It has a very good
content but cannot justify the sentiment due to its weak screenplay. This movie
could have been much better than what it has turned out to be. It starts nicely
and shows promise but gradually loses its grip despite some realistic scenes
as the movie moves forward. There is no thrill at all. Few action sequences are
unnecessarily exaggerated. Cinematography and Background music are average.
Songs are nice but could have been easily placed out of movie.
It tries to convey the message but it seems to be forcefully
dragged. Dialogues and speeches are used rather than the strong plot to support
the story but I thought it failed to do so. Love story between a journalist and
inspector seems unnecessary and does not seem any bit convincing.
Dayahang Rai is truly an amazing actor. He effortlessly gets
into his character and makes his presence lively and likely. Namrata Shrestha
and Prashant Tamrakar have done fine job.
Binaya Bhatta (debutant) is letdown! Neither his character is developed
strongly nor has he performed any good. Other actors in supporting roles are
just okay.
Final Say:
Sambodhan is an average movie with good content.
